Data Deletion & Requests

1. If you are a business using ChatMunshi

You control your data and can delete it in the following ways:

  • Delete conversations and messages from within your dashboard at any time.
  • Disconnect WhatsApp to stop processing new messages and revoke stored access tokens.
  • Delete your account: email chatmunshi@senithu.lk from your account address with the subject “Delete my account”. We will delete your account and associated personal data within a reasonable period, except data we must retain by law (for example, limited billing records).

2. If you are an end customer who messaged a business

If you contacted a business that uses ChatMunshi, that business is the controller of your personal data and decides how it is used. To have your data corrected or deleted:

  • Contact the business directly — they can delete your conversation and contact details from their ChatMunshi account.
  • Or contact us at chatmunshi@senithu.lk and we will forward your request to the relevant business and assist them in fulfilling it, as their processor.

3. WhatsApp and Meta data

Deleting your data in ChatMunshi removes it from our systems. WhatsApp itself, operated by Meta, keeps its own copies of messages under Meta’s policies; to manage data held by WhatsApp/Meta, use WhatsApp’s own settings and Meta’s tools. We are not affiliated with Meta.

4. How to make a request

Email chatmunshi@senithu.lk with:

  • Whether you are a business customer or an end customer;
  • The account email (for businesses) or the WhatsApp number and the business you messaged (for end customers);
  • What you would like us to do — delete, access, or correct your data.

We may need to verify your identity before acting on a request. We will respond within the time required by applicable law.

5. Other rights

Depending on your location, you may also have rights to access, correct, restrict, or port your data, and to object to processing or withdraw consent. See the Privacy Policy for details and how to exercise them.
